1. Who can participate
Anyone with a Deer Designer account (active, paused or cancelled) and any current Deer Designer team member ("Referrer"). Team members are paid through payroll and are subject to internal policy in addition to these terms.
2. What counts as a referral
A company ("Referred Client") that (a) has never held a Deer Designer subscription, or whose last subscription ended more than 6 months before signup; (b) is not the Referrer, the Referrer's employer, or a parent, subsidiary, affiliate or brand of either; (c) signs up for a paid Deer Designer plan; and (d) is attributed to the Referrer under section 3.
3. Attribution
A Referred Client is attributed to the Referrer if, at checkout, the Referrer's code is entered; otherwise if the Referrer's link was the last referral link clicked in the 90 days before signup; otherwise if the Referred Client identifies the Referrer in the "how did you hear about us" field within 30 days of signup and Deer Designer confirms it. A Referred Client with an open sales conversation with Deer Designer that began more than 30 days before attribution is not eligible. Attribution decisions are made by Deer Designer and are final.
4. Rewards
(a) The Referred Client receives a $500 credit applied to their second monthly invoice, or $500 off their annual invoice. (b) The Referrer receives $500 (or $1,000 if the Referred Client's plan is Partner) once the Referred Client has paid their second monthly invoice, or, on annual plans, 60 days after their first payment with the subscription still active. (c) Referrer rewards are issued as account credit by default. Referrers may elect cash instead; cash is paid in the monthly payout run following eligibility, by bank transfer to details the Referrer provides. (d) Credits apply to any Deer Designer invoice, can be combined, and expire 12 months after issue. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable. (e) There is no limit on the number of referrals.
5. Voided rewards
If any of the Referred Client's first two invoices is refunded or charged back, or the Referred Client cancels before paying the second invoice, the reward is void. If a reward was already issued, Deer Designer may reverse the credit or deduct the amount from future rewards.
6. Conduct
Referrers may not: refer themselves or their own businesses; use paid advertising, spam, or misleading claims to promote their link; bid on Deer Designer trademarks; or share their link on coupon or deal sites. Deer Designer may void rewards and disable codes for breach.
7. Taxes
Cash rewards may be taxable income. US Referrers receiving $600 or more in cash rewards in a calendar year must provide a Form W-9 and will receive a Form 1099-NEC. Non-US Referrers must provide a Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E before cash payment.
8. Changes and termination
Deer Designer may change or end the program with 30 days' notice on this page. Rewards earned before the change are honoured.
9. Privacy
Referrers see the company name and status of accounts they referred. Deer Designer does not share Referred Clients' contact details or usage. By inviting someone, the Referrer confirms they have a relationship that makes the invitation appropriate.
10. General
These terms are part of the Deer Designer Terms of Service. Governing law and disputes as set out there. Deer Designer's decisions on eligibility and attribution are final.
