Mascots matter: How characters drive customer engagement

Mascots make the brands we know and love more relatable.

I’m a huge fan of BTS, the K-pop boy group. You’ve probably heard of them, right? Well, today I want to tell you about something really cool they did. BTS partnered with Line Friends to create these adorable mascots called BT21.

Instead of just making avatars that look like the members, they came up with eight unique characters, and all the BTS guys were involved in the process. And they sketched and designed these cute mascots themselves. How awesome is that?

Now, here’s why mascots are so awesome. Imagine you’re walking down the street, minding your own business, and suddenly this colourful and friendly mascot pops out of nowhere. It’s like a magnet for attention!

You instantly feel a connection, and before you know it, you’re drawn to the brand it represents. That’s the magic of mascots. They have serious power when it comes to winning over customers and keeping them coming back for more.

Your warm and fuzzy brand celebrity

Mascots are like the secret sauce of branding success. They add flavour and personality to a business, just like the Energizer Bunny or the Michelin Man.

They become iconic symbols that instantly remind us of the brands they represent. Having a memorable mascot allows your business to stand out.

But it’s not just about standing out. Mascots have this incredible ability to create emotional connections with customers. They make your brand relatable, fun, and tell an amazing story. It’s like having a mini-celebrity promote your business!

Using mascots in design and marketing

When you have a mascot, the possibilities are endless. You can feature it in your marketing campaigns, making it the face of your brand.

Just imagine the impact it can have on your social media presence! Mascots are social media darlings, and they can drive viral content like nobody’s business.

But it doesn’t stop there. Mascots also boost customer loyalty. When people feel connected to a mascot, they develop trust and familiarity with your brand. It’s like having a friend they can count on.

You can take advantage of this by creating interactive experiences and promotions involving your mascot. Customers will be excited to participate and spread the word, strengthening their loyalty to your brand.
